WaterCheck™ #7001 kit

This simple DIY, colour change, kit allows you to easily check your own wells and drinking water for E. Coli at the Cottage, Marine, RV, or at Home. Very accurate, this kit will check for a single E. Coli in the sample. Wells and drinking water should be checked at least 3 times per year, especially after snow melt or heavy rains. You may be used to the existing water condition, but guests and others may not be. Available at local mariners.

Aquatic Weeds
noWEEDmat #1251: 2 - 9'X 30' mats + install kit.

Aquatic weeds are becoming a major nuisance in cottage country. Cutting and pulling weeds has a tendency to re-seed the area. The noWEEDmat, sinks to the lake bottom on its own, breathes with the lake bottom, does not allow the sun to see the bottom, thus no weeds! Use one mat from the kit along side the dock and one out for swimming area. Home Hardware # 6610-358.

In Fall, if blowing spring ice is a problem, remove mat (lay on beach or driveway but not on the grass), and apply Cleaner # 9952. Allow to dry in the sun, roll up and store in a secure location.

"Gin Clear" Water at the cottage

It is standard practice now to "polish" the lake water through a CLEANABLE pleated filter as part of your foot valve. Simply remove your existing filter and attach a Team Zebra pleated filter. This "polishes" the water down to a very fine 25 micron absolute. These filters remove sand, silt, Zebra mussel veligers and Schistosomes.

These pleated filters allow up to 10X the flow of old style flexible cloth filters and maintain their filter accuracy for up to 10 years. Can be easily cleaned with brush. We recommend a Quick Disconnect kit #7067 and Zebra Cleaner #7042 with each unit, to allow units to be easily cleaned and stored.

All starting and deep cycle marine batteries sulphate, and gradually lose effectiveness. Battery manufacturers suggest all lead acid batteries be "equalized" every few months.
